A review on Amazon says:
A fantastic little book. Sweeping the reader along from the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand in Sarajevo to the meeting of the victorious allies in Potsdam, with a whirlwind overview of European events between.
What is astonishing is that the book was written in 1966 at the height of the cold war yet nothing in it feels dated. He is an extraordinary writer, able to pack several ideas into a single sentence, making the book quite dense. Highly recommend it.
No dust jacket, just red boards, some age spots inside front fly and browning edges due to age. A scratch on front cover, but good and firm with colour and black and white pictures not often seen. Price reflects condition, but a readable copy that will leave a lasting impression of your knowledge of the subject.
